Earrings for Learning

This was my second project.  I made beautiful and colorful earrings with beads and jewelry findings and sold them for $5.00.  I raised $1,100.00 dollars.  I donated $1,000.00 to the Breakfast for Learning organization  to help ensure that every child in Canada attends school well nourished and ready to learn. I used $100.00 to pay for supplies for my next project.

My Trip to The Breakfast for Learning Headquarters

On June 12, 2007, I visited the office of Breakfast for Learning in North York.  I was greeted by Erin Jones.  Everyone in the office gathered around me.  They bought more earrings from me.  I presented them with a check for $1000.00.  They told me about the programs.  They also took a picture with me.  I told them I want to come and volunteer at one of schools where they have a breakfast program.  It was a really good day.  I feels good to help others.  I want to thank everyone who bought my earrings.
